Northampton Paranormal Group

Paranormal Investigation of Abington Park Museum

THE START OF THE NIGHT

The evening started with us all meeting under the bandstand, on the museum side of the park. It was raining heavily. The two main areas of interest for us, on that side of the park , were the museum building and the Church yard/cemetery. We decided to split into two groups, Mandy S, Andy M, Wendy ( Andy M’s Partner/friend) Ken and myself ( Kelly) made up Group 1, Emma, Tessie, Dennis, Rita and Andy J made up Group 2. Mark stayed at the bandstand to look after the bags and equipment.

SPLITTING UP

We split up at about 11.20, Group 1 made there way to the churchyard and Group 2 made there way to the museum building. When my group (1) reached the churchyard we did a walk around, it was strangely calm. We took some pictures and did a small amount of videoing. Ken took some pictures of some very impressive orbs. But all in all we didn’t really hear or see much. After half an hour, we decided to head back to the bandstand, to meet the other group and dry off a bit as the rain had continued to fall heavily.

CHANGING PLACES

After our short break we split up again, Group 2 going to the churchyard and Group 1 going to the Museum building. At the building we stood underneath a large tree as the rain was still lashing down, we stood on the right hand side of the building, looking at the windows. At those windows, it has been reported that a woman shuts the shutters in the night. We took some pictures of the windows, some of them came out very distorted, not sure if that is paranormal or just an effect of the weather. Mandy S and myself both saw the face of a woman, at the one of the windows toward the back of the building. Our whole group heard music coming from the inside of the building, the other group radioed us as they could hear it in the churchyard too. After about half an hour of craning our necks and getting rained on, we headed back to the bandstand.

MAKING CONTACT WITH EDWARD ...?

Those of us who wanted to join in the calling out session, joined hands. I lead the session by asking for anyone present to come forward and make themselves known. Emma heard someone whisper in her ear the word ‘please’,  I was beginning to think that not much else would happen, when as I was trying to center myself, my feet became rooted to the spot and felt as though they were on fire. Emma had the name Edward just pop into her head, then Emma and my self began to feel something around our hands (we were next to each other and holding hands) and our hands began to move up slowly, neither of us was moving, it is the weirdest things that has ever happened to me. Our hands kept rising up and stopped just below shoulder height. We soon had to ask who or whatever was holding are arms up, to put them down as our arms were beginning to ache. As our hands went down a calm sensation fell over the group, Emma and myself closed the session down and shut our third eyes.

ONE LAST LOOK

As an end to our wet vigil, we decided to take one last look at the windows at the side of the museum building. we all looked up at the windows, again saw the face of a woman at the same window as before, I could see more of her, she had long hair. In the photographs that Tessie took of the window you can see a figure in the window.

CONCLUSION

I think that our investigation of the park went really well, as a group we worked well and got some amazing phenomena. The pictures were fantastic and the calling out session was, as I said, the weirdest thing that ever happened to me, and I’m sure Emma too. I cannot wait to investigate the park again. Hopefully it wont be so wet next time!
