"she was terrified for no visible reason and pleaded to leave"

My daughter had not been to the museum before (age 4), on walking into the first exhibit she was terrified for no visible reason and pleaded to leave. I walked her around the displays but she became more and more upset and could not explain why.  On telling friends of this they have had similar expriences within the museum with extreme unusual reactions from normally placid well behaved kids. It really is a creepy place.
